PRE-CAVALREAPERS
He was raised by a bullfairy like Tavros. IDK WHAT HIS NAME WAS???? But he was killed when the Summoner was six-and-a-half and started speaking out against the way he was being treated. It was something his overseers threatened for a long time and then finally they did it and it... shut him up for a little while. Not too long, but probably only because he had Pyralsprite by then to yell at him for giving up

BRB

CAVALREAPERS
The cavalreapers are a branch of the Alternian military. They are front line fighters. It is made up almost entirely of lowbloods, everything from red all the way up to somewhere around the mid greens, before the jades. Occasionally they get something above jade all the way to teal, but these are generally incompetents who were kicked out of higher branches. Unfortunately they also end up in charge half the time because the Alternian military is nothing if not adherent to hemospectrum rules :|b

Every cavalreaper has a beast whom they must train and partner with. This means their boot camp is often longer and more extensive then most other branches, and the cadets often come out with a closer bond then most.

On the same note, the most successful cavalreapers are usually the ones who are lucky enough to have a lusus large enough to take as a mount into battle. Most are not this lucky and have to tame something from the wild. A huge number of cadets are lost this way lsjdflkjsdf

The other group of most successful cavalreapers are those with psychic powers like the Summoner's. He is still extraordinarily powerful though, which is a big part of the reason he advanced rank so quickly

The fact that he came to lead any branch of the military is practically unheard of for someone as lowblooded as him. Generally the highest blooded people in any one branch are the ones who are in charge pretty much regardless of whether they're actually good at it or not. (There is a double standard for lowblooded divisions where if they do poorly, the soldiers are blamed, but if they do well their high(ish)blood commander is praised) Basically this means he had to outpace every single person vying for command by so much that there was no way they couldn't give him the position.

He threw his medals and his dress uniform into the ocean the day he finally started the rebellion.

He was seven when he joined them... So basically... he was a child soldier welp

WINGS
The Summoner's wings are actually insectoid because that's way more practical then... fairy... wings... Basically, that just means he can fold them down and get them out of the way when he doesn't want to use them!

They are similar to the earth family of Blattodea in that the top wing is stiffer and harder, offering a layer of protection to the wings underneath it when folded. Obviously they're not exactly the same because he has three wings instead of two but that's the basic idea.

He rarely flies in large battles because the filament of the wings is quite delicate. He's been shot out of the air several times and has finally learned his lesson!

On the same note, the joints of the wings are sensitive, but the filament itself is really really not. He knows when it's been punctured, but that's about it. It doesn't actually cause him pain.

The filament is regenerative! Like troll teeth! Possibly the whole wing is regenerative, but he's never... had them cut off before and really isn't planning on it! EVER!!!

They make a quite loud thumping sound while he's in the air, sort of like helicopter blades mixed with bumble bees buzzing.

He was sick as a dog for a couple perigees before the pupation where he got his wings. The only reason he wasn't culled was because he had few extraordinarily loyal second and third-in-commmands as well as a moirail who no one would fuck with keeping an eye on him. Post-pupation this influenced a lot of his command decisions because he was far more likely to trust people who weren't him, then anyone else in like the history of the cavalreapers. This ended up helping him a lot as the revolution expanded and he had more and more troops to manage.

He probably flies kind of the same way a bee does? So both the upward and downward stroke give him lift.

That dinky middle wing provides stability and helps him direct himself. He would be basically grounded if they were removed because he wouldn't be able to control himself hardly at all in the air.

While he technically can glide, like a butterfly, it puts a lot of strain on the filament so he doesn't do it very often. Usually only when he wants to descend slowly.

His metabolism is quite quick, even for a lowblooded troll, so he eats a fucking ton. Especially after a long flight, he is in constant search of calories. Flying is hard and trolls... aren't really built for it...!!!

Kind of on the same note, he gained several muscle groups post-pupation that... no other troll before or since him has. They run across his chest and back and along his sides, and yeah... they exist basically solely to power his wings...

ALSO ON THE SAME NOTE, his lungs are fucking enormous. He is like Troll Michael Phelps except with flying instead of swimming lsdjf

QUADRANTS
He is really hard to be in a relationship with lksjdflkjsdf Not because he's especially bad at romance. He's actually fairly decent at redrom at least. But his relationships will always take a backseat to his causes and his beliefs. If it's a matter of advancing the revolution just one step further over an anniversary (sweepiversary? periversary? lksjdf idk), he will always pick the revolution.

For this reason, at this canon point, he actually hasn't been in a long term relationship since the revolution started.

Anyway... I guess I'll do this by quadrant lskjf

Matespritship
wheezes this is my second time writing this uuuugh But alright yeah, this is definitely his favorite quadrant? Like he just... really likes everything it entails. He likes sex and redrom and being able to see the best in his partner. And losing a matesprit comes with like a fraction of the emotional pain that losing a moirail has. Everything about this quadrant is just... awesome +___+

IN THE PAST
/POINTS AT EYES
/POINTS AT MINDFANG

Okay no, he hasn't actually met Mindfang at this point in time, but she is like his destined matesprit and stuff. He also kills her. WELP. But anyway, so he's had a bunch of redrom flings, but also a couple longer term things.

FIRST, a little while into cavalreaper boot camp, he feel pretty madly into pity with this redblood guy. He was... kind of tiny and pathetic and had been forced to join, so the Summoner just sorta latched onto him. Their relationship was not super healthy at first? Like the Summoner was pretty patronizing and mean to this guy because he wasn't especially strong at first. But he got better, and so did their relationship, and everything was good for awhile. And then they got assigned to different units and despite numerous appeals for the sake of their matespritship, they were denied every time. So they were forced to move on after that ); Probably the guy died at some point before the revolution, so they didn't ever see each other again.

AND SECOND, was this limeblood woman who kicked ass and kind of scared the people leading her various units lakjdf. So she was transferred around a lot, and eventually she ended up with the Summoner. They fell into pity, and were pretty happy for awhile. Maybe a sweep or so, and then they parted ways on decent terms, like you do sometimes. She ended up becoming one of his closest advisers during the revolution though, so they stayed pretty close 8>

Moirallegiance
EHHHH he is super not into the idea of having a moirail...! Previous experience has broken his heart here once before and once is more then enough, I think, when it comes to moirallegiance. Luckily, he is generally pretty in control. The worst thing a moirail would have to pacify in him would be his... kind of... self-destructive tendencies and the way he throws himself after things often to the detriment of his own health. He is a really good pacifying partner though because he can be amazingly chill and tends to know just the right thing to say. He is also a cuddly motherfucker when he gets the chance ('8

IN THE PAST
He has had one moirail! She was a greenblood, quite a lot older then him and was a guard for the farm where he grew up. Guard as in... like... she kept beasts away from the cows and shit... IDK WHAT THAT'S CALLED. Shepherd maybe, except that Alternian beasts are way more terrible and harder to kill, so she was definitely a fighter.

Anyway, so he kinda saw her around a lot when he was growing up. They didn't become moirails until her was... maybe seven or so. Because she was a greenblood she was allowed a lot more self-reliance, so she was able to come with him once he joined the military. SHE WAS ALWAYS KIND OF UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE IDEA OF HIM STARTING A REVOLUTION??? But she was still one of his first fighters, and it... got her killed ahaha in one of their first battles cause he went and seriously underestimated the empire's forces... sobs

Kismesissitude
ALRIGHT TIME FOR FEELINGS ABOUT KISMESISSITUDE. Trigger warning for survival sex

The Summoner is really really poorly equipped for caliginous relationships. He is just kind of a friendly, accommodating guy as long as people aren't dicks to him, so people who are dicks to him end up skipping right past romantic hate and into regular I Want You Dead hate!!! If he had a choice he would probably... never... enter into a kismesissitude.

But he doesn't have a choice. See, he's twelve right now which is about 26 in human years. So he's almost certainly had to give to the filial pails once or twice at least. And even if this wasn't the case, he has been in a subordinate position for the majority of his life in a culture where it's a-okay to enslave lowbloods. So... sufficed to say, caliginous sex is a thing that has happened to him, usually after being coerced. Occasionally, these people also inform him that they are now kismesis, and they go on in this sham of a relationship that lasts from a little before the drones come to maybe a perigee afterwards before they break up again

Basically what this means is, since he has never really experienced caliginous attraction and has been informed on several occasions that... being assaulted is kismesissitude, he has this deeply unpleasant, I Don't Really Want This feeling associated with blackrom. Which I mean... he's rationalized, of course. Blackrom is about hate. This unpleasantness is kind of like hate. Obviously this is what they mean when they talk about kismesissitude. So that not only makes him even less inclined to be involved in kismesissitude, but also makes it really hard for him to recognize actual caliginous feelings when they happen.

Guh. Only hideousness in this quadrant I swear.

IN THE PAST
So uh... yeah. He's never really had a kismesis... Not one he hated back anyway. Probably the closest thing to it he's ever had was the leader of the cavalreapers before him, but that was really really on and off and was... pretty much... just survival sex for the both of them... though there probably was something genuinely caliginous on her side for a little while. It faded pretty quickly though because, again, blackrom is just not a thing he comes by very easily...

Auspistice
RIGHT. So he is almost always the auspisticizing party for the aforementioned reasons of failure at romantic hate and also being a generally pretty mellow guy. And he is a pretty good auspistice as long as he is invested in the feuding pair finding resolution! Very often though, he ends up just having to deal with highbloods getting in his way and shit, and in those cases he is just as likely to knock them the fuck out as try to auspisticize :T This is especially true as he gets older and his patience for highbloods gets pretty frayed

IN THE PAST
He's never had anything long term here! He is actually a little bit of an ashen swinger as it were because he kind of just... deals with problems as they come, even if maybe they overlap. He's definitely never been with a pair long enough to start... you know... telling people it's A Thing.

SCARS
I THINK SCARS ARE FASCINATING DON'T JUDGE ME Trigger warning for past violence and abuse

OKAY. Kind of in general. He has a truly... ridiculous number of scars. Most of them are on his torso, and especially concentrated on his back for reasons mentioned below. He has a few on his arms and legs, but his neck and face have stayed rather remarkably free of them. LUCKY FOR HIM!!!!

MOST NOTABLY. He was... whipped... fairly regularly while he was growing up, and probably also a little bit while he was training to become a cavalreaper. By his time, this is a pretty antiquated method of punishment usually reserved only for the lowest blooded and the most rebellious, of which the Summoner was both. SO YEAH his back is pretty much a huge mass of scars all crisscrossing each other and building up over the sweeps. It's... pretty gross lksjdf and when he isn't wearing a shirt, he will often fold his wings as a kind of minor means to hide them.

He's been shot three times, once in the shoulder, once where the bullet grazed his hip and once just under his ribcage. This third one almost killed him, and he had to be put under for quite awhile to heal from it.

EXTRA TRIGGER WARNING for sexual violence He has a number of claw scars on his hips where (usually) caliginous partners have grabbed onto him while fucking him. Some of these are more noticeable then others. There is one rather notable set where the person started raking their claws from his ass to up around his hips before he stopped them and ollied outie
